I love Europe in the spring. Actually I love anywhere in the world in the spring when the flowers are blooming and the sun is shining. In 2022, I spent a week in London and it was so enjoyable, I decided I am going to try to make it annual thing.
This year I decided to go to Berlin, Germany. I have not been back since 2016, so I was looking forward to seeing what had changed.
I arrived on a lovely rainy day. My surprise when I walked out to the hotel, so what appeared to be the Christmas Market huts. Gluhwein and Langos, yes please!
One of the reasons, I had chosen Berlin was because they have Cherry Blossoms. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, a Japanese TV station donated 10,000 plants in Berlin. My travel planning skills are a bit rusty as I should have been paying closer attention to the weather and the likely hood of them being in bloom. First attempt was a fail

I headed over the Garten Der Welt and had success. I was a little disappointed that with all my prior trips to Berlin, that I had not discovered this place. I love a good garden. And yes the Sakura did not disappoint.

I spent my remaining time just wondering around the City. Taking in the sights, enjoying the odd park bench. The flowers were blooming and it was just nice to enjoy the environment.
I highly recommend checking out Berlin in the spring and it possible try to time with one of the Cherry Blossom Festivals.
Until next time…..
